We’re hiring a Software Project Manager (Customer-Facing) to lead critical projects for customers across the globe.

At G&S SatCom, we build software that empowers some of the largest non-terrestrial communication networks in the world. Our work supports next-generation satellite connectivity and helps bring online underserved communities around the world. With a fast growing team of now 80 and a tight-knit project management group, we deliver high-impact platforms that help customers manage satellite connectivity more easily and affordably.

About the Role:

As a Project Manager, you’ll serve as the key link between our clients and internal teams, translating customer needs into clear software requirements, ensuring high-quality delivery, and building long-term relationships based on trust. This is an ideal role for someone who’s technically curious, people-savvy, and driven to see great software make a real-world impact.

Within your first 6 months, you’ll assume ownership of multiple customer projects and guide them through the full release cycle - from requirement discovery to deployment and delivery.

What You'll Do:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
  • Build and maintain trust-based, long-term relationships
  • Translate customer needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and other PMs
  • Manage project timelines and internal coordination to ensure smooth delivery
  • Travel to customer sites occasionally (1-2 times per year, if needed)

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build customer trust
  • Solid understanding of software concepts with a quick learning curve
  • Comfortable discussing technical topics without being a developer
  • Self-driven, reliable, and motivated by delivering value to customers
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Able to work regularly during US East Coast hours (afternoons/evenings in Germany)
  • Willing to be on-site during onboarding and training (initial weeks)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in satellite communications or telecom
  • Prior involvement in customer-facing software delivery projects
  • Background in a technical role in the software world
  • German language skills (spoken and written)
